Exactly what it sounds like.
Seriously, what is it?
Okay, it's a bar crawl, I just wanted it to sound funner, sheesh.
As some of you know, I haven't been drinking for about three weeks as part of an attempt to stop the hemorrhaging of my bank account, increase the amount of calories I have available for food, and try to stop my liver from going on strike. A girl does need to have fun, however, and since my birthday is on the 7th, and I'm going to continue not to drink until Thanksgiving, I figured Saturday was a good time to stop the madness and enjoy an epic day of drinking. Since I'll be marathoning the day, I tried to order the venues on a scale of potential for debauchery. Below, you'll find the list of the places where at least Marisa and I will be, all day. Hopefully I'll see you all at one point or another!
1. Northern Spy Food Co. - 511 E. 12th St
This first place is for those of us who are not too hung over to get right back in the swing of things but hung over enough that we don't need bottomless mimosas, we just need delicious food, and this place looks great. I love that the restaurant uses locally sourced, clean foods, the same for beer and wine, and their decor comes from as much reclaimed and repurposed materials as possible. Check out the brunch menu here : http://www.northernspyfoodco.com/2. Common Ground - 206 Ave. A
Laid back little place right around the corner from Northern Spy. $3 Drafts, $4 well and wine, and $4 Cajun Bloody Marys. Common Ground actually has one of the worst web sites I've ever seen, but here it is : http://commongroundnyc.com/Then we head over to..
3. The Belfry - 222 E. 14th St.
Has $2 off all drafts and all well drinks. It's got offerings from Ommegang, Six Point, and Brooklyn, as well as Delerium, Harpoon, Blanche de Bruxelles and a good selection of wine and cocktails as well. www.belfrynyc.com/menus.html4. Bull's Head Tavern - 295 3rd. Ave.
$3 drafts, $4 beer of the month. Honestly, this just seemed like a good place to stop before 7 and take advantage of one more $3 draft. I can't find the beer menu anymore, which may be a bad sign, but anyway...5. Whitman and Bloom - 384 3rd Ave.
$5 craft beers, $6 wines and prosecco, and $7 artisanal cocktails. http://www.whitmanandbloom.com
6. Murray Bar - 58 E. 34th St.
$4 drafts, well and house wine. Sports bar. http://www.itsthecashbar.com/MB_Drinks.html7. Wharf Bar and Grill -
$3.50 drafts - http://www.wharfnyc.com/8. Turtle Bay NYC - 987 2nd Ave.
$20 basic open bar from 8-11 pm http://www.turtlebaynyc.com/9. Katch Astoria - 31-19 Newtown Ave.
We can play Giant Jenga and I'll probably dance to Justin Timberlake music, just as long as none of you do anything awful like puke in the sink....You will be sent home if you're looking like a sink-puker before we get to Katch. Fair warning. Here is the link to the Google Maps with each place listed :

Hopefully all these links work...Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a cab to brunch in the morning around 11 if anyone wants in on that. Bars 2, 3, and 4 will all be between 3 and 7pm, and bars 5, 6, and 7 all have a good variety of food. We'll probably stay there until 10? I don't know.
RSVP if you know you'll be coming and text me if you have questions! Hope to see you there!
